Program Note: Renaissance was one of the first pieces I have ever written for concert band back in 2017. When I was deciding which pieces to include in the “2024 Summer Series,” I had the idea to refinish this piece and include it on my website. The piece maintains a fanfare like style throughout the piece and maintains a sense of heroism. Renaissance provides an opportunity for each section to be featured before closing out the final tutti section.
